What I’m Into Lately (March 2016)

Happy second to last day of March! Here’s hoping those April showers don’t make an appearance this year… I’m linking up again with Leigh Kramer to share what I was loving in March.

TV Shows

Hart of Dixie – Jay went to China earlier this month and I found Hart of Dixie on Netflix : ) I decided to re-watch this adorable show from the beginning and now I can’t stop. It reminds me of Gilmore Girls with all the wholesome drama, but set in a quaint Southern town.

11/22/63 – I know I included this last month, but it’s still one of our favorites. We always end up a week or two behind, but it’s definitely holding our attention.

Game of Thrones Season 5 – We preordered this season and it FINALLY shipped in mid-March. We rolled through the whole season in less than a week. It was entertaining, but I still miss the first two seasons and some of those characters.

Movies
Pixels – Going in with very low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. It’s a very basic story, but I found myself laughing throughout the movie. What more can you ask from a comedy?

Events/Activities

Shenandoah Valley, VA – We spent a long weekend in western VA and thoroughly enjoyed visiting Monticello and hiking in the mountains, despite the rainy weather. It’s a gorgeous part of this country.

Easter – We spent Easter at my parents’ house this year and had the opportunity to see almost my entire extended family! Plus, I ate a ton of delicious food : )

Bible Study – We finished up watching The Bible and are looking for something new to study. Has anyone else heard of the miniseries produced by Morgan Freeman called The Story of God? It looks fascinating and I think that’s going to be our next pick.

Carrie Underwood Concert – Wow, what a show! Not only does she have an incredible voice which sounded perfect throughout the entire concert, she had costume changes, lasers, fire, and a spinning stage. I am a huge fan of her new Storyteller album, so I was very happy she mixed in 8 of those new songs with her biggest hits.

What I’m Loving

Capital Teas – We discovered this brand at a local food and wine festival and I’m thoroughly enjoying their loose leaf teas. They also have quirky names like Chesapeake Sunrise and Jet Lag Awake Strawberry Green Tea (my personal favorite).

White Plum tunics – I’ve desperately searched for a tunic long enough to cover my 5’10” frame and White Plum is the answer. They list the heights of their models so I can ensure the shirt/dress is long enough before buying!

Instagram – It’s about time that I signed up for this social media site. I only follow a few people so far, but it’s a lot of fun! Any suggestions for funny/travel/book accounts I should follow??

Library Book Sales – I found out one of the local library holds five book sales each year and we were pleasantly surprised by the first one. Stay tuned for an upcoming post which features all 18 books we purchased for a total of $18!
