TBR Mix N’ Mingle – May 2019

It’s once again time to share our To Be Read lists for the month! I have an audiobook listed for the first time and a few others I’m eager to get my hands on. My library features an interlibrary loan benefit where they track down books I request from anywhere in the state. Since it’s a smaller library, I use this option frequently to borrow books they don’t have. Don’t you just love libraries!?

Join us each month on the first Wednesday to share your To Be Read list!

May TBR List:

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling (audiobook)

I’m finally picking out an audiobook to listen to during Connor’s nighttime feedings and our walks outside. I’ve read the Harry Potter books more times than I can count, but I’ve never listened to the audiobook. I hear Jim Dale is a fantastic narrator, so I’m looking forward to experiencing the books this way!

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

TJR is writing hit after hit these days. Although everyone’s currently talking about her latest, Daisy Jones and the Six, I still need to get her 2017 bestseller. An aging Hollywood icon shares her mesmerizing story with an unknown reporter.

The Princess Bride by William Goldman

I’m a huge fan of the movie but can’t remember if I’ve ever actually read the book… This is one of those stories that fits into every genre – action, romance, comedy!

  1. Oh funny, I recently (as in, within the past 2 years maybe) read The Princess Bride for the first time, having been a lover of the movie for a long time. Honestly it wasn’t my favorite! One of those weird situations where I’ll pick the movie over the book 🙂 You’ll have to let me know what you think.

  2. OMG The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is absolutely phenomenal! I loved everything about it! It is easily my favorite book of this year! I hope you love it as much as I did! I still need to read Daisy Jones and the Six I’m just afraid it won’t be as good as The Seven Husbands! I hope you have a great reading month!! =)

  3. Evelyn Hugo is such a great choice–especially when I’m sure you’re very tired! I liked it better than Daisy Jones–though I listened to Daisy, and I think reading it in print might have worked better for me. Hope you enjoy!
