TBR Mix N’ Mingle – July 2019
We’re officially halfway through the year!! I always like to check in on my reading around now, so I shared my favorite books of the year so far earlier this month. I’m hoping to find some more winners in July!
Join us each month on the first Wednesday to share your To Be Read list!
July TBR List:
Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe by Heather Webber
I received an ARC of this novel from the publisher!! I literally did a happy dance when it arrived in the mail since I’m so excited to read it. It’s a magical realism novel that’s being compared to Sarah Addison Allen’s Garden Spells.
Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
I’m using my Scribd membership to listen to this book, finally!! It’s one of the hottest books of the year, so I was thrilled to see it on Scribd (P.S. My link will get you two months free if you’re interested!). The audiobook has a full cast and it’s really brings the story to life. I’d imagine it’d be hard to keep all the characters straight otherwise.
On the Corner of Love and Hate by Nina Bocci
After I reviewed The Unhoneymooners on NetGalley, the publisher reached out to see if I’d like to review this book. I, of course, said Yes! A young woman is forced to help an old friend revamp his image for an upcoming election. She realizes she might not be as immune to stronger feelings as she once thought.
A Rule Against Murder by Louise Penny
I’m completely enthralled by this murder mystery series and I hear the books just keep getting better! Inspector Gamache is a nuanced and well-developed character. Plus, all the eccentric inhabitants of Three Pines make a terrific supporting cast.

Our next linkup will be Wednesday, August 7th.
Daisy Jones is one of my favorites of the year so far – hope you love it as much as I did!
It’s terrific so far! I love the full cast on audio.
I’ve heard a lot of great things about Daisy Jones, I hope you enjoy it!
