To Be Read List for December 2019

I actually read 3 of the 4 books on my TBR list last month!! I’m hoping to keep that streak going with my December TBR list. We bought a BUNCH of books from BookOutlet on Black Friday (and the 30% off sale is still going strong if you’re interested). So, I’m including those books on my To Be Read list this month. You can always tell the differences between Jay’s books and mine since his are almost always nonfiction and mine are fiction 🙂 Come see what I bought!

To Be Read List for December 2019:

Enchantee by Gita Trelease

A fantasy novel set in Paris during the reign of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. Camille uses small magic to keep her and her siblings alive after their parents fall victim to smallbox. When her older brother runs away with their savings, she’s forced to attempt darker magic that transforms her into a baroness. Camille is swept into the Palace of Versailles but realizes that all magic has it’s costs. How amazing does this sound??? I can’t wait for it to get here.

Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe by Melissa De La Cruz

For less than $2, I couldn’t pass this one up. It admittedly doesn’t have great reviews, but a Christmas-y retelling of my favorite Jane Austen has to have some redeeming qualities, right? Here’s hoping…

Stay Sweet by Siobhan Vivian

In an even better deal, this young adult novel was only $.69!! It has ice cream on the cover, so why not? Amelia and her best friend always work at Meade Creamery during the summer. This year, Amelia is put in charge but the owner’s grandnephew arrives with different plans. It sounds like a cute summer romance that I can’t ever resist.

  1. YA and ice cream… two of my favorite things. Definitely will have to check that one out. And I am such a sucker for Pride & Prejudice retellings! So fun to try out a Christmas season one.
