December Romance New Releases

under loch

Under Loch & Key by Lana Ferguson

A new monster romance from a go to author! Head to Scotland to encounter the Loch Ness Monster! Key travels to the country to find her estranged grandparents after her father dies to attempt to reconcile with them. While there she meets their farm helper, Lachlan. They get off on the wrong foot, but over time discover they might be able to help each other.

Key and Lachlan’s family history’s are deeply intertwined and she may be the exact person he needs to help break his family’s curse. This has the perfect amount of magical realism and plenty of steamy scenes! I loved it! | Buy From Amazon | Buy From Target

The Wrong Lady Meets Lord Right by Suzanne Allain

A new regency era romantic comedy that will have you swooning. Two cousins get a chance to swap identities for both of their benefit. Lady Isabelle has zero interest in an official coming out when she’d much rather stay at home and read (can’t we all relate!?) But her great-aunt requests her presence in London and she’ll have no choice to go. Until her cousin Arabella (of ignoble birth) has a solution.

Arabella and her similar looks will go to London in Issie’s place and enjoy the season. While there she meets Lord Brooke and quickly falls for his charms. He begins courting her, thinking she’s a titled Lady, but Arabella knows this is heading for disaster when she reveals her true identity. | Buy From Amazon | Buy From Target

ps i hate you

PS: I Hate You by Lauren Connolly

An unexpectedly heartfelt romance between two unlikely road trip partners. Maddie is planning to honor her older brother’s final wish to have his ashes scattered between 8 destinations he had always wanted to visit. She didn’t plan on having his best friend, Dom, along for the trip.

Dom is the last person she wants with her since he broke her heart years ago. And he’s an annoying stickler for following the exact rules of Josh’s requests. I always love a forced proximity situation and can’t wait to see how this relationship changes over the miles spent on this road trip! | Buy From Amazon

Not In My Book by Katie Holt

I adore any book set in the world of publishing or with main characters who are writers, so I’m particularly looking forward to this romance! Our two clashing cowriters are taking the same writing class and their verbal sparring leads the professor taking drastic measures to avoid the constant disruptions. Romance writer and lover of happy endings Rosie must write a novel with literary fiction devotee Aiden that blends their two genres.

When the manuscript turns unexpectedly steamy, the lines between fiction and real life blur. Soon they’re using their writing to start expressing their actual feelings for each other. Doesn’t this sound incredible!? | Buy From Amazon | Buy From Target

Mystery/Thriller New Releases

what the wife knew

What The Wife Knew by Darby Kane

In a unique twist on a domestic thriller, our main character Addison is trying to figure out who finally succeeded in killing her husband…since it was supposed to be her. Their marriage was only 97 days old and now Addison is inheriting quite a lot of money, so she’s facing intense scrutiny. Meanwhile, her carefully charted plan to exact revenge on him is derailed now that someone else has done the job.

Addison is left attempting to both prove her own innocence, find out who really killed him, and why she’s now the new target of threatening messages. But she’s not some helpless widow. The premise of this thriller sounds so intriguing! I’m sure Addison will be a compelling character and I’m eager to find out what she’s really up to.  | Buy From Amazon | Buy From Target

Fantasy New Releases

the last one

The Last One by Rachel Howzell Hall

This is the Good Morning America book club pick for December so it’s one of the hottest new books this season! I’m frankly shocked that they picked a romantasy book, but I’m here for it! Plus, there is a limited first run print with gorgeous sprayed edges that you’re going to want to grab before they sell out.

Our main character Kai wakes up in the woods with no idea how she got there or exactly where she is. The outlook is rough, knowing there are unnatural creatures out hunting and sickness taking out the people. She must get to the Sea of Devour, but will need help to survive along the way. When she sees a local blacksmith display an unexpected affinity for fighting she reluctantly agrees to accept his help on her journey.

I always love a spicy yet infuriating connection between a strong female protagonist and the man who’s beside her. I can’t wait to get to know these two and see what’s in store for them! | Buy From Amazon | Buy From Target
