March Romance New Releases

night we met

The Night We Met by Abby Jimenez

I have loved every single book Abby wrote, so I always have high hopes for her new release! Her stories always showcase the messier side of love and how sometimes we have to fight incredibly hard or make extremely tough choices to end up with the right person.

Larissa made a split second decision one night that changed the trajectory of her life. A simple choice of who she rode home with from a concert led her to a relationship with her friend Chris’ best friend. She’s happy for now, but she also doesn’t know there’s another possible option…

Chris and Larissa have had an easy, fun friendship, but Chris wants more than just a platonic relationship with her. He knows he is her perfect match, but he’d ruin his friendship with his mate to go after her. Faced with an impossible choice, will Chris continue to wish Larissa happiness from the sidelines or risk everything to potentially find a lifelong love. | Buy Deluxe Edition From Amazon

mistakes

Mistakes Were Made by Lucy Score

I’ve been waiting for this story ever since I turned the last page of Story Of My Life! Hazel’s best friend (and literary agent), Zoey is still stuck in Story Lake since she was exiled from Manhattan’s publishing scene. Zoey has no money and Hazel is now her only client. However, she’s confident in Hazel’s next romance book and plans to be back in New York taking on the literary world again soon.

Except her gorgeous landlord, Gage Bishop, has other ideas. He knows Zoey is all wrong for him, with her commitment phobia and annoyance toward small town life. But when Gage’s world is rocked by a devastating family secret, he turns to Zoey for one night to forget everything. That one night just might change everything…or ruin it. | Buy Deluxe Edition From Amazon

once and again

Once And Again by Rebecca Serle

What if you had the opportunity to go back in time and change ONE moment from your life? This is the gift given to the women of the Novak family. Lauren’s mother used her chance to save her father from a car accident, but her mom now lives in fear that some other tragedy will occur that she can no longer change. On the other hand, Lauren’s grandmother is a free spirit who has lived a glamorous, and mysterious, life.

This gift can be a blessing or a curse and Lauren has seen both sides of the coin in her role models. One summer, when her husband takes a job in New York, Lauren decides to temporarily move back to her childhood home. She doesn’t expect the return of the boy next door, and her first love who broke her heart. As the days pass and she falls into new routines with her family and with the man she once loved, Lauren wrestles with what could have been and has to decide when is the right moment to use her gift…

I love the thought experiment that this novel presents! The chance for a re-do sounds incredible, but isn’t always as easy as we’d hope. I’m eager to find out how Lauren’s story ends! | Buy From Amazon

no matter what

No Matter What by Cara Bastone

If you like second chance romances featuring married couples, this is the book for you! Cara Bastone has an incredible history of handling difficult topics with a soft touch and heartwarming ending. I have no doubt this will be another meaningful romance that you’ll remember for a long time!

Roz and Vin are facing a separation after a life-altering accident unexpectedly broke apart their once solid marriage. Neither of them particularly wanted this, but they can’t seem to find a way back to each other. Roz decides to throw herself into a new hobby and signs up for a figure drawing class. Ironically, the easiest person she can get to agree to pose is Vin.

With a new set of surroundings and a intimately vulnerable situation, Roz and Vin start to look at each other in a new light. Maybe this forced proximity will force them to reevaluate and rediscover why they fell in love in the first place. | Buy From Amazon

Mystery/Thriller New Releases

missing sister

Missing Sister by Joshilyn Jackson

The queen of slow burn Southern thrillers is back with another family mystery, this time featuring twin sisters. Their story begins with a tragedy when Nix is tragically killed in an accident, but leaves behind a mysterious voicemail for her sister, Penny.

Years later, Penny has channeled her anguish into a career as a cop. Yet her first murder investigation leaves her reeling. The victim is a man whom she’s always suspected had something to do with Nix’s death. Near the scene, Penny happens upon a bloodied woman holding a box cutter, seemingly the one who brought justice to a potential killer. She tells Penny that a much bigger story is unfolding, but then disappears.

Penny is left searching for both this dangerous woman and more answers about the “accident” from years ago. I’ve been a fan of Joshilyn Jackson for years, so I know this will be a masterful unfolding as she drops more clues for readers to uncover what’s going on. | Buy From Amazon

survive

What We Did To Survive by Megan Lally

A classic vacation gone wrong thriller! Four teens who hire a private charter boat to celebrate their last day of spring break end up in a fight for their lives. I’m guessing this will be a fast paced read as the stakes get higher and higher!

Hannah has had an incredible week of vacation with her best friend Emmy and her family at a resort in Mexico. The only slight snags are the inconvenient crush she has on Emmy’s brother and ending up as the third wheel when Emmy ends up in a whirlwind fling with a guy they meet on the beach. This wealthy bachelor convinces the four of them to head out to sea on their last day.

Except when a storm starts brewing off the coast and Emmy begins noticing something is off with the whole situation, she realizes they may be lucky to all make it back to shore alive…  | Buy From Amazon

Fantasy New Releases

kingdom

This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me by Ilona Andrews

In a sea of fantasy / romantasy books that seem to constantly borrow tropes and plot lines from each other, this one sounds incredibly unique! If you’ve ever dreamed what would happen if you actually lived inside your favorite fantasy world, this book is for you!

Our main character is not a typical fantasy heroine, because she’s not from Kair Toren. But when she wakes up cold, naked, and covered in grime, she almost immediately recognizes her surroundings as the city from her favorite dark fantasy series. She’s read the books over and over, anxiously awaiting the final book. Now though, she’s forced to use her knowledge to navigate her surroundings.

She discovers she can’t be killed, but she can impact the decisions and actions of the characters she loves so much. As she spends more time there, her motives turn from trying to get home to possibly preventing the disastrous end she knows is coming – a world shattering war. | Buy From Amazon

lady tremaine

Lady Tremaine by Rachel Hochhauser

I’m a big fan of fairy tale retellings and this one puts a unique twist on the idea – giving us an alternate version of the Cinderella story told from the perspective of a “loving stepmother.” Instead of the evil version we’re used to, Lady Tremaine reimagines the character as a devoted mother facing extremely difficult circumstances after her husband dies. She’s left with a stepdaughter who refuses to connect with her, but still desperately wants the best for each of her three daughters.

In a society where women aren’t meant to lead a household or live on their own, Ethel fights for her independence and financial security. A royal ball offers a unique chance to give one of her daughters a secure future, but after Cinderella catches the eye of the Prince, Ethel uncovers a sordid royal secret that can threaten her stepdaughter’s happiness and safety. She must choose between an easy life or protecting her stepdaughter and enduring any hardship as a result of revealing this secret.

I’ve seen stellar reviews of this so far and I’m eager to get my hands on it! It’s also refreshing to enjoy a standalone fantasy amongst a sea of lengthy series that you often find in this genre. | Buy From Amazon

faraway inn

The Faraway Inn by Sarah Beth Durst

Can we talk about how insanely gorgeous this cover is!? I honestly don’t even need to know what it’s about. Those sprayed edges and another cozy fantasy from Sarah Beth Durst? Immediate purchase!

Unlike Sarah’s other adult novels, this is a young adult fantasy that follows a 16 year old girl who visits her eccentric aunt’s inn for the summer. Rather than a cozy B&B, Calisa finds a rundown building in desperate need of repair. Her aunt refuses to acknowledge how bad it’s gotten, but Calisa convinces her that she can help.

Over the summer, Calisa tries to bring the inn back to life, along with the help of the cute local boy, but she realizes there’s something quite unexpected about this place and it’s guests. Something…magical and otherworldly. The inn is keeping a secret and Calisa will now do everything she can to protect it before it’s too late! | Buy From Amazon
