Summer Book Review! This rom com is the perfect addition to our beach bag. When a wedding planner gets roped into organizing a book launch, for a horror writer of all people, she vows to turn her happy ever afters into serious scares.

However, a DISASTROUS first meeting leaves her off kilter and fighting to keep her job. But as these two spend more time together, they both end up hoping the job will never end!

I loved every bit of this story! It was fun going behind the scenes of Eden l event planning and book marketing. Plus, the chemistry between these two was incredibly fun to read!

Thanks to Forever publishing for an eARC of this novel to review!

Blog Tour Book Review! Thanks to @letstalkbookspromo for sending a copy! This has taken me a while to post because I’m honestly not sure how I feel about it?? It was…fine?

Two polar opposite moms wake up to find they have switched bodies and must cope with their new lives until they can switch back. Obviously you’ve got the Freaky Friday thing going here which is part of the fun.

Things I liked - the viewpoints of how each mom viewed the other and showcasing that all moms feel inadequate, stressed, and in constant competition over anything and everything at times. We got to see their insecurities, and ultimately by the end all of their incredible strengths. This showed that every type of mom is valuable in her own way and doesn’t have to be pretty at every single aspect of parenting.

However, the story just wasn’t that compelling? I slogged through a decent chunk of it, just turning pages to keep going til the end. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you’re a mom or the concept sounds interesting, give it a shot!

5⭐️ Book Review! My adoration of Jenny Colgan continues! Sunrise By The Sea is yet another delightful addition to her collection of novels. This story is the third one to take place on Mount Polbearne so I loved seeing plenty of familiar faces pop in and out.

Marisa is one of the newest residents of the little island, using the remote location to retreat into her grief after losing her beloved grandfather. But the solace and quiet are wildly interrupted by the piano teacher next door. The bear of a man speaks little English and she cannot overcome crippling anxiety to resolve their issues.

As Marisa slowly works through her grief and anxiety, she finds herself pulled into the affairs of the island and the man next door.

This has all of the charm you can expect from Jenny as well as a frank take on how serious anxiety can be. I was rooting for Marisa the whole way as she went to therapy and learned to overcome her disease. As usual, I also found myself laughing the whole way through at the hilarious dialogue and unexpected circumstances.

A must read for everyone!!

I’m a day late but here’s my 4th of July stack! We had a very sick kid this weekend so our plans were much more low key than expected, but I discovered that Cars 3 is easily the best of the three movies 😂 And I’m an expert since I’ve now seen it three times…

The kiddo also slept through all the neighbors’ fireworks shows so I’m calling it a win overall!

Matching my flowers book stack! I’m constantly impressed with how long my $5.99 followers from Giant last! I can usually keep them around for two weeks by trimming stems and moving them into a smaller vase.

5⭐️ Book Review!! Talk Bookish To Me is one of those books that book lovers are just going to eat right up. It features a writer/bookstagrammer who discovers her ex from ten years ago will be in her best friends wedding with her. The two ended things in terrible terms so she vows to just get through the wedding and continue hating him forever.

As they’re forced together for wedding duties, they can’t deny their chemistry is still there, but they have a lot to work through about the end of their relationship.

The sweet and sexy banter between these two was so much fun to read! I also loved the snippets where she was explaining bookstagram details to him 😍

Overall a delightful contemporary romance with a lot of heart!
