and then there was you

And Then There Was You by Sophie Cousens

I’m a huge Sophie Cousens fan, so it’s always exciting to hear she’s got a new book coming out! Plus, this has a bit of a sci-fi twist which sounds like a unique addition to a typical rom com!

Chloe turns to a mysterious dating service when she’s facing down her 10 year high school reunion. She was voted “Most Likely To Succeed” but she’s still stuck as a Production Assistant and back living at home with her parents after a breakup. The man she meets through the dating agency is shockingly perfect and she starts to wonder if maybe they have cracked the code about what’s best for her.

But the past won’t leave her alone. Her former best friend and now successful film director, Sean, is going to be at the reunion and she’s not exactly looking forward to seeing him. As she reconnects with old classmates and finally faces Sean, Chloe starts to realize that maybe her past holds the key to a happy future.  | Buy From Amazon

forget me not

The Forget Me Not Library by Heather Webber

This probably falls more in the women’s fiction genre than romance, but I’ve loved Heather’s past novels, so I wanted to include this too! She always has a touch of magical realism in her stories which I adore.

This novel focuses on two women who wander into each other’s lives through a unique library. The Forget-Me-Not Library is a place where old, treasured memories can be found within the pages of the books found there. Tallulah is a newly single mom who takes a job at the library, hoping for a fresh start. Julie is seeking out a change after a freak lightning accident and she ends up on a road trip that leads her to the same place.

This is a story of two women rediscovering what they might find out of life and a happiness that seemed out of reach! It sounds perfect for anyone who values female friendships and book lovers who love discovering life truths within the pages. | Buy From Amazon

Fantasy New Releases

brimstone

Brimstone by Callie Hart

I’ve been waiting impatiently for Callie’s sequel to the breakout romantasy hit, Quicksilver. It was a Booktok sensation and I absolutely loved the first book, so if you haven’t read it, now’s your chance! There was an exciting cliffhanger, so you’ll be able to dive right in to Book 2!

I don’t want to give up any spoilers, so I’ll just say that the series picks up right where we left off. Our main character, Saeris, a human who was transported to a Fae realm where her powers of alchemy are unearthed. She’s now facing a new sort of power and navigating this title she never expected. Meanwhile, her mate, Kingfisher is sent with his least favorite person to handle some responsibilities in Saeris’ homeland. I can’t wait for both of these stories to develop and ultimately connect!

Plus there’s a gorgeous limited edition on sale now, so grab it before it sells out! | Buy From Amazon

A Dark Forgetting by Kristen Ciccarelli

One of Kristen’s previous fantasy novels is getting a deluxe reprint (most likely due to the success of her Heartless Hunter duology).

Emeline Lark is forced to venture into the realm of the Wood King to save her missing grandfather and enters into a deal where she gives up her voice for his life. Much to the disapproval of a wandering tithe collector, Hawthorne, who warns her away from the King.

Emeline and Hawthorne have serious enemy energy, but must work together to save her from a larger curse that could threaten their entire existence. | Buy From Amazon

brigands

Brigands and Breadknives by Travis Baldree

Another installment from the Legends and Lattes series is almost here!! This is my #1 cozy fantasy recommendation, so I’m eagerly anticipating Fern’s story. These can be easily read as standalones, they just feature interconnected characters and places that you’ll recognize if you’ve read the other books.

Brigands and Breadknives stars everyone’s favorite grouchy bookstore owner, Fern. After decades at the bookshop, Fern is ready for a new adventure and takes on a renovation project near our beloved coffee shop from Book 1. However, it isn’t an immediate fix and Fern finds herself still taking risks when she wakes up one morning next to a legendary warrior following a drunken night out.

The two end up staying connected, trying to claim a bounty, and Fern discovers this unexpected situation may be exactly what she needed to truly find herself! | Buy From Amazon
