Amazon Prime Day Book Wish List
In case you haven’t heard of a little thing called Amazon Prime Day, it’s a big sale happening today, July 12! For the second year, Amazon is hosting a one day sale exclusively available for Prime members featuring a whole lot of random items (it’s basically a big yard sale – you never know what you’re going to find but hope to snag a cheap treasure).
We participated last year and purchased a few movies and books – including The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man’s Fear (both highly recommended!!). Most of the items we aren’t interested in, but part of the fun is sorting through colored pencils and diapers and headphones to find a great deal on something unexpected.
This might also be a great time to purchase one of Amazon’s products, such as the Kindle Paperwhite. That’s what I use to read my ebooks from the library and I love it!
Here are a few of the books on my wish list that I’m hoping will go on sale at some point tomorrow (summaries from Amazon). Fingers crossed 🙂
Love Does by Bob Goff – When Love Does, life gets interesting. Each day turns into a hilarious, whimsical, meaningful chance that makes faith simple and real.
World Cloud Box Set – Enjoy a treasury of classic literature from popular authors such as Jane Austen, Frances Hodgson Burnett, Louisa May Alcott, and more!
The Annotated Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen and David M. Shapard – From the editor of the popular Annotated Pride and Prejudice comes an annotated edition of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility that makes this tale of two sisters in love an even more enjoyable read. Here is the complete text of the novel with more than 2,000 annotations on facing pages.
Anne of Green Gables Complete 8 Book Box Set by L.M. Montgomery – Favorites for nearly 100 years, these classic novels follow the adventures of the spirited redhead Anne Shirley, who comes to stay at Green Gables and wins the hearts of everyone she meets.
The Martian by Andy Weir – After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive—and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive.
The Big Short by Michael Lewis – The #1 New York Times bestseller: a brilliant account―character-rich and darkly humorous―of how the U.S. economy was driven over the cliff when the housing market collapsed in 2008.
The Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard – Victoria Aveyard’s sweeping tale of seventeen-year-old Mare, a common girl whose once-latent magical power draws her into the dangerous intrigue of the king’s palace.
Bonus Item!
First Lines of Literature Mug – Technically not a book, but a necessity for book/tea/coffee lovers!
What are you hoping will go on sale during Amazon Prime Day??
How did the prime day end up going for you? I didn’t even think about seeing if I could get a box set of books. The Puffin’s children’s classics would have been amazing. I ended up getting a sewing machine haha.
It wasn’t too successful : ( I wasn’t interested in any of the books on sale, but we did buy a few CDs! Ha a sewing machine is such a random but great purchase!
