October Romance New Releases
The first romance on my list features a divorcee who gets a chance at real love, all thanks to her meddling children. Anna is happily enjoying life as a single mom after a painful divorce, but inspiration strikes when a rival writer starts eyeing up her column. In an attempt to create intriguing content, Anna pitchers a series where she’ll go on 7 dates – all found by her children, not using any dating apps!
As you can expect, there’s a wide range of encounters from the awkward to the star struck! But a connection that comes out of nowhere may lead Anna to an actual, meaningful relationship! I’m a sucker for these sort of dating adventures, so I can’t wait to see what happens with Anna’s experiment! Plus, the addition of her kids makes this a unique spin that has me even more excited! | Buy From Amazon
A Queen’s Game by Katharine McGee
After the immensely successful American Royals series, Katharine is back and taking on a new set of royal figures! A Queen’s Game goes back in time to tell the story of 3 historical women in the Victorian Era. Alix is Queen Victoria’s granddaughter and expected to marry a prince, but she’s falling in love with one who’s off limits.
Helene is the daughter of the exiled King of France who’s rebellious ways lead her to run around with the heir of the British throne. May of Teck is full of ambition and determined to marry not just a prince, but a King
These three women’s lives intersect over the years as this story takes us from the ballrooms of St Petersburg to rural Scotland! I don’t know anything about these historical figures so I can’t wait to see how Katharine weaves a tale about their lives! Buy From Amazon | Buy From Target
The Co-Op by Tarah Dewitt
A second chance romance featuring two two teens that had a summer fling who are now grown up and forced back into the same orbit. LaRynn and Deacon are both shocked to discover their grandmothers left them with shared ownership of a building that’s in need of lots of tough love.
Deacon has the construction experience to fix up the place but needs money for supplies. LaRynn could help with the trust left to her….but there’s a stipulation that she needs to be married to access the money. So, easy peasy they’ll get married, fix up the building, sell it for a profit and go their separate ways! Of course, living under the same leaky roof leads to all sorts of fights and flirting! | Buy From Amazon | Buy From Target

A Legend in the Baking by Jamie Wesley
A sports + baking romance? Sign me up! Football player August was supposed to be a silent partner in the local cupcake shop, but when he accidentally went viral on social media ranting about how baking isn’t a threat to masculinity, he’s suddenly the hottest topic in town. With a new location in the works, the rest of his business partners decide to capitalize on his new fame and hire a social media manager to help build the brand.
It’s none other than his best friend’s sister, who’s haunted his dreams for years. Sloane has her own hangups, since she’s crushed on August since she was a teenager, but she knows this job could help launch a career. I can’t wait to read about the delicious sparks that I know are going to fly with these two! Plus, the juxtaposition of a football player who’s also a baker sounds like such a fun storyline. | Buy From Amazon
Mystery/Thriller New Releases
Shell Games by Bonnie Kistler
This thriller features a young woman whose wealthy mother makes a shocking claim on the night of her wedding. Kate is a seventy year old woman with lots of influence in her community and she’s thrilled to be marrying her long lost high school sweetheart, Charlie, in a second chance at love.
But on their wedding night, Kate makes a frantic call to the police saying Charlie confessed to a notorious unsolved crime from decades ago. Julia believes her mom but no one else seems to. Charlie is saying she made it up, Julia’s husband gently believes her mother has dementia and even the FBI think that there’s no way Charlie could have done it. | Buy From Amazon
Fantasy New Releases
The Songbird and the Heart of Stone by Carissa Broadbent
This is the third book in the Crowns of Nyaxia series so now’s your chance to binge read the first two if you haven’t yet!
I keep hearing this romantasy series featuring vampires is just as good as anything by Sarah J Maas and the Fourth Wing series, so if you’re a fan of either of those you’re going to want to try these!
I’m about halfway through the first book so far and it’s safe to say I’m addicted! I don’t want to spoil anything about the rest of the series, so I”ll just say it features a human living among vampires who decides to compete in one of their traditional challenges to earn a favor from their Goddess. | Buy From Amazon
The Teller Of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong
A cozy fantasy similar to The Spellshop or Legends and Lattes. I can’t get enough of these lately! Tao is a wandering fortune teller who makes a living revealing small, inconsequential fortunes. It’s a bit lonely, but far better than the life she left behind.
Until a chance meeting with a reformed thief and ex-mercenary changes everything. She agrees to help them on a quest for a lost child and finds so much more than she expected. I adore these low key fantasy books that focus on found family! I can always count on them to be full of heart and just the dose of love and happiness that I always seem to need. | Buy From Amazon
Let me know in the comments which one you’re most looking forward to reading!
