Advent Calendar Gift Guide

When most people think of advent calendars, they picture a cute Christmas scene filled with terrible chocolate candy. I grew up on those (and honestly still love them!), but the advent calendar options are truly endless these days. My advent calendar gift guide includes something for every interest. There’s nothing like wine, tea, or socks to get you in the mood for a Christmas countdown! While most of these advent calendars are geared toward adults, I also shared a few for kids that I hope to buy for Connor some day!

Advent Calendars for Adults:

Tea Advent Calendar

Nothing goes together like a book, cup of tea, and a cozy blanket for winter. Get your friends or family one of those three with this tea advent calendar. It features a different tea bag for each of the 24 days.

Lindt Chocolate Advent Calendar

There are a few different versions of this chocolate advent calendar, but you can’t go wrong with an updated classic. Lindt chocolates are divine and I’d love to enjoy 24 of them!

Socks Advent Calendar

There are a surprising number of sock advent calendars available this year. My favorite is the Disney collection, but you can also find Harry Potter, sock liners, classic games, and holiday prints. Most seem to be “12 Days of Socks” since 24 socks might be a bit excessive….

Bonne Maman 2019 Advent Calendar

Order early to ensure you snag this limited edition advent calendar that always sells out. The selection of jams and jellies from Bonne Maman is second to none! Each window reveals an iconic 1oz jar of their fruit spreads or honey.

Precious Moments Nativity Advent Calendar

The prize for the most adorable goes to this one! Precious Moments are beautiful collectibles for any home. Behind each door you’ll find a charming piece to slowly build the sweetest Nativity scene you’ll ever find.

Haribo Gummy Advent Calendar

Haribo gummy bears are a classic treat. This advent calendar is also a sweet alternative for those who don’t like chocolate or can’t eat it.

Personalized Soap Advent Calendar

This gorgeous advent calendar is both a daily gift and a beautiful decoration for the holidays. You can personalize the design to make it a unique gift for anyone. A variety of seasonal scents are featured in each product. You’ll receive a collection of whipped soaps, artisan soaps, candle melts, and bath bombs. Plus, the calendar is reusable if you want to refill with your own goodies next year!

Advent Calendars for Kids:

Crayola Christmas Countdown Activity Advent Calendar

Honestly, I want this one for myself! It just looks like so much fun. This contains 24 holiday themed crafts for kids (or adults) to create each day.

Lego Star Wars Calendar

The Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar is always a hot ticket item!! It becomes impossible to find or dramatically rises in price as the holidays approach, so get it while you can! There’s also a Harry Potter Lego calendar this year which I’m sure will be just as popular!

Hot Wheels Advent Calendar

Updated each year with new cars and accessories! This even comes with a fold out mat to zoom around with the new toys.

Funko Harry Potter Advent Calendar (currently $20 off!)

I don’t exactly understand the obsession with Funko Pop figurines, but the Harry Potter kid in your life won’t be able to resist them!

What are the most unique advent calendars you’ve seen?

Have you heard of the Advent Book by Jack and Kathy Stockman? It’s an Advent calendar in book form; we’ve had it since my kids were toddlers (they are now 5 & 7) and we all look forward to reading it together as a family every year. The book is beautifully made with gorgeous illustrations for each page. Each day you read another page and get to open the door to hear more of the story and see a scene from the Christmas story. By Christmas Day you’ve opened all the doors and get to read the whole story. The wording is taken from Scripture so my kids have practically all the verses memorized from our yearly reading. It is such a treasure! It sounds like I’m a paid promoter, but really we just love this book so much πŸ™‚
