TBR Mix N’ Mingle – March 2019

This month I’ll be spending lots and lots of time on my Kindle! I have a mix of library eBooks and Netgalley eARCs to get through before their respective due dates. Join us each month on the first Wednesday to share your To Be Read list!

March TBR List:

The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand

I have a feeling this is going to be a year chock full of Hilderbrand’s novels. I finally dove in to her collection at the end of last year and now I can’t get enough! This is a library eBook so it’s a must-read for March

Husband Material by Emily Belden

Although this doesn’t release until the fall, I like to read my NetGalley eARCs as soon as I get approved! I’m pretty stingy with the books I request, so I’m usually eager to read the book right away. After becoming a widow, Charlotte spends her life focused on moving forward and avoiding risk. When her husband’s ashes unexpectedly show up on her doorstep, she’s forced to confront her past and consider the possibility of forgiveness. She must also decide whether or not to take a chance on a new love interest.

A Fatal Grace by Louise Penny

I’m usually not a murder mystery reader, but the reviews of Louise Penny’s Inspector Gamache series are too stellar to ignore. I devoured the first book, Still Life, because it featured not only an intriguing investigation but also a colorful cast of characters and insight into life in their small town.

  1. You are so much more responsible with NetGalley ARCs than I am! I like to wait to read them closer to when I am going to publish my review (which I like to publish close to its release date), so I end up sitting on a lot of them… Maybe not the best strategy, but I’m hoping to knock a few out this month!

I don’t think I’ve ever read an Elin Hilderbrand novel, but I have heard good things – do you have one you most recommend (so far)? I’ll have to make it a point to check her out.

    1. So far Winter Street is probably my favorite since I read it around Christmas and was looking for a light fun read. I’ve heard Blue Bistro is excellent and I have that checked out from the library right now so I’ll let you know!

  2. Hope you get through and enjoy them all! My TBR for March is The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood, Hemmingway’s The Sun Also Rises, and possibly Wonderstruck by Brian Selznick. I’d love to join the Mingle for next month…how do I do that?

    1. We’d love to have you join! It’s pretty simple – just write up a post on your blog with your TBR and then come back here and add the link to your post! We usually leave the linkup open for a week and it starts on the first Wednesday of each month.
