Lore by Alexandra Bracken
Genre: YA Fantasy
Publish Date: January 5, 2021
Summary: Every 7 years, nine Greek gods are forced to become mortal as punishment for a past rebellion. Descendents of the ancient bloodlines hunt them in the hopes of stealing their power. Lore rebelled against the hunt after her entire family was murdered. But this time, she’s asked to rejoin by a long lost friend and Athena, one of the original gods.
It’s rare to find a YA fantasy that revolves around Greek mythology, so this sounds fascinating!! | Amazon | Bookshop.org
One Of The Good Ones by Maika & Maritza Moulite
Genre: Young Adult
Publish Date: January 5, 2021
Summary: A black teen is killed under mysterious circumstances after attending a social justice rally. She’s immortalized as a symbol, but her family wants to know exactly what happened. I’ve heard this is part murder mystery and part commentary on social issues.
I’ve seen a few glowing early reviews of this, so it’s high on my list to read. | Amazon | Bookshop.org
The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins
Genre: Thriller
Publish Date: January 5, 2021
Summary: Jane works as a dog-walker in a rich, swanky neighborhood where no one notices when little items go missing or questions who she really is. When she meets and falls for a handsome resident, she gets caught up in the mystery of what happened to his late wife. | Amazon | Bookshop.org
You Have A Match by Emma Lord
Genre: Young Adult
Publish Date: January 12, 2021
Summary: I absolutely adored Emma’s debut novel, Tweet Cute, so I was thrilled to get invited to read an early copy of You Have A Match. Abby unexpectedly discovers she has a sister when the results on an online DNA test come back. Instagram star Savannah is the last person she would expect to share genes with, but they make a pact to find out more while they’re at summer camp together. To add to the drama, Abby’s best friend (and hopeless crush), Leo happens to be working there too. | Amazon | Bookshop.org
My Rating: 5 Stars – This doesn’t come out until January but you might as well preorder because its another hit! I was impressed with how different it felt from Tweet Cute, but it shone in its own right! You can find my mini review in November book recommendations post.

Shipped by Angie Hockman
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publish Date: January 19, 2021
Summary: This contemporary romance doesn’t come out until January 2021, but make yourself happy next year and pre-order it now! It’s a super cute rom com that also deals with the important issue of conservation.
My Rating: 5 Stars I loved the cruise setting and learning about the Galapagos Islands! There is so much meat to this story, both in the growth of the characters and the conservation efforts happening in the world. | Amazon | Bookshop.org
