What I’m Loving Lately – April 2017
Well, clearly April was not a big blogging month for me. I only published one post – oops! There were plenty of other great things going on, though! Check out what I was loving this month! Also, I’m linking up with Leigh Kramer as usual.
TV Shows
The Office – Jay started watching this from the beginning and now I’m hooked as well. I’ve seen almost all the episodes, but it’s still hilarious. Jim and Pam!! Love them so much.
Top Chef – I finally finished Season 13 on Hulu! Despite the ridiculous drama, I’ve faithfully watched every season. It’s fascinating watching these talented chefs come up with elaborate dishes in such short amounts of time.
Big Little Lies – This HBO mini series is based on a book by Liane Moriarty. Her writing is engaging, fast-paced, and full of interesting twists. However, the show didn’t do it justice. I think it would’ve been better as a movie or maybe a four part series.
Movies
Beauty and the Beast – The new movie starring Emma Watson actually exceeded my expectations. I loved the enhancements to the story and of course the setting was just gorgeous. That library!!!
First Blood – I know, I know. You were not expecting a Rambo movie to pop up on this list! Jay started watching it one night and I was planning to read next to him on the couch. However, I unexpectedly got completely invested in the story! It’s actually a fascinating tale about life for one soldier after being in the Vietnam war.

Events/Activities
Bachelorette Party – Two of my bridesmaids and I spent a weekend in Baltimore for my bachelorette. I requested an Orioles baseball game, so they made the cutest shirts and we got to see the Orioles win! I loved getting to spend time with both of them and enjoying the city!
Wedding Hair Trial / Bridal Shower – In mid-April I combined my hair trial and bridal shower into one terrific day. My maid of honor put together a terrific party and I had such a blast seeing all my friends and family in one place.
LoveLehighValley – My church partnered with a few other local churches to take the church outside on April 30. The thousands of volunteers spent Sunday morning improving our communities. I absolutely loved this opportunity to share the love of God through our actions.
What I’m Loving
Flipboard – This app/website has become my go-to time waster. It’s a collection of articles/news from loads of different websites. I love how easily you can customize what shows up in your home page. Mine is currently full of lots of weddings, food, and travel articles.
CashBackMonitor – Since we are a part of a multitude of airline miles / hotel points / cash back programs, we’re always looking for ways to add to our balances. This website lets you compare the number of miles/points/cash back you get for making online purchases. We usually use the Chase shopping portal or Ebates.
Homemade Peanut Butter Eggs – By some miracle I still have a few peanut butter eggs in my fridge that I made earlier this month. They are SO delicious.

Ooh I haven’t read Big Little Lies yet but will wait to watch the show until after I have read it based upon your review! Sounds like you are having heaps of fun in the lead up to your wedding – very exciting!
Hope you like both the book and the show!
What a fun bach party! I love the shirts. We went to a Ravens game a few years ago for one of my friends Bach parties. It looks like you had a great month! Thanks for joining the link up 🙂
