Stitch Fix Review – June 2018
My third Stitch Fix of the year arrived last week! Stitch Fix (<- referral link!) is a personal styling service that is ideal for anyone who doesn’t have time to shop, is looking for specific items each season, or just loves clothing in general. UPDATE – For a short period of time, StitchFix is giving a $15 credit to new users! Use my link to snag this offer.
When you sign up, you take an in-depth survey about your clothing sizes, style, and pricing preferences. After reviewing this information, your personal stylist will send you 5 items to try. The fee for this service is $20, which includes free shipping and free returns. If you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total (if you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)
After receiving a maxi dress in my last fix, I asked for additional options this time around. Usually, I add a note to help ensure I’m getting what I want. Also keep your Pinterest board updated! You can follow StitchFix on Pinterest and re-pin any clothing they feature. It just might show up in your box!
When you receive your box, you have three days to decide what items you want to keep and what items you want to return. There is a “Checkout” option in your online account to let them know what you’re keeping (and paying for) and provide feedback on all the clothes. This is another great opportunity to tell your stylist about your likes/dislikes. Your credit card is only charged for the items you keep (minus the $20 styling fee!). A USPS bag (for the free shipping) is provided in the box to return the other items. I also discovered that USPS will pick up packages from your doorstep, so I didn’t even have to make a trip to the post office!
Check out the five items included in my June box:
Distressed Jean Shorts ($48) – These shorts were stretchy and comfortable, but I’m just not interested in the distressed look. Plus, some of those rips are quite large! RETURN
Gilli Maxi Skirt ($48) – I asked for maxi dresses, but wasn’t expecting a maxi skirt. Well, I love it! The length is perfect and the print (while bold) is toned down when paired with a plain top. I can’t wait to wear this to work. KEEP
Knit Maxi Dress ($88) – This style was more flattering and comfy than my last dress, but the print was just too much for me. I wish I had the stripes of the last dress with this style… RETURN
White Sleeveless Blouse ($48) – Not really a fan of the weird boxy detail at the top. Plus it’s got a bohemian vibe I’m not into. RETURN
Bancroft Infinity Cuff ($28) – I don’t normally wear much jewelry, but this caught my eye as something I’d actually wear with lots of different outfits. Plus, the price was about what I’d expect. KEEP
This box was a hit! I’ve noticed a definitive improvement this year in how well the pieces match my style and budget.

I love the skirt! I also love the dress, it looks amazing on you! (of course, I’m your mother, everything looks amazing on you)!
Thanks Mom : )
Love the skirt! I’ve gotten into the whole maxi thing lately too! I found a really great midnight blue maxi dress recently that’s perfect for summer. I also have a bold print maxi skirt I wear all the time. They’re just so easy and comfortable!
Oooh a dark blue maxi dress sounds gorgeous. I’m having trouble finding anything like this in regular stores though. Any suggestions?
I loved the skirt and dress they look amazing on you! I love the MAxi trend but I’m very short so I haven’t tried it yet I don’t want to look shorter.
Ha! I often run into problems because I’m tall, so I was grateful they actually sent me clothes that were long enough! I feel your pain, just in the opposite direction!
I have problems with crazy bold prints like those sometimes too, but I love that skirt! Glad you kept it 🙂
Thanks! Luckily with this I can wear a plain ol’ black or white shirt to balance it out. Not too overwhelming that way 🙂
I adore the blue dress and the white top! I think I’ll have to check these guys out!
You should! It’s a ton of fun opening my box each month and discovering what they sent me.
