Reading RoundUp #48
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving last week. Now it’s on to Christmas!! I always start decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving. Thankfully we had warm weather so my husband even put up our outdoor lights! We just have the trees (yes, multiple) to put up and decorate. For now, here’s my list of current reads. Check out Jana Says and Modern Mrs Darcy’s Quick Lit for more book lists!
This week’s Reading Roundup!
Work Book (for lunch time reading):
Trying to decide what to read next at work…any suggestions??
House Books:
Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty – Thank goodness this was a Book of the Month selection because I couldn’t handle the wait times at my library for Moriarty’s newest novel. I’m about 1/4 through and can already tell this is going to be another hit.
Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson – I finished this earlier this week and highly recommend it to fantasy lovers. Jay gets the credit for convincing me to read it. Although I wasn’t the biggest fan of the magic system (metals that have various effects), I loved the characters and there were a few absolutely unexpected twists and turns.
Audiobooks (listening on Scribd):
Whiskey in a Teacup by Reese Witherspoon – This first popped up on my radar when I saw a story about Jennifer Garner trying out Reese’s method for curling her hair (how can you not love Jennifer Garner 🙂 ) Reese shares her memories, recipes, and life tips from growing up in the South.
From Around the Web:
Netflix Brings Roald Dahl to TV – I grew up reading ALL of Roald Dahls books, so it’s exciting to see them being brought to life again.
20 Books to Read This Winter – Adding a bunch of titles to my TBR list based on Modern Mrs Darcy’s latest suggestions.
Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide – If you’re still looking for gifts, I put together a list of a variety of stocking stuffers. I also shared a fun advent calendar gift guide 🙂
Check out Reading RoundUp #47 for more of my recent reads!
*Disclosure – I earn a tiny commission if you purchase any items through the links above and the price you pay is the same. Thanks for supporting my reading habit!
Ahh, I totally forgot to put a hold on Liane Moriarty’s new one! I’ll have to do that, I’m sure the wait is also out of control at my library!
