In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren
This well-known romance writing duo created another hit!! In this Christmas version of Groundhog Day, Mae is forced to relive her week with family and friends over and over again. Since she asked the universe what makes her happy, she now has to figure out if that means a career change, taking a chance on her lifelong love, saving the beloved cabin or something else.
At this point, a bit of ridiculousness is always expected in my holiday rom coms, so the time loop aspect was just another delightful part of the story. I loved Mae and Andrew’s friendship and the possibility of more between them. Plus, the backdrop of Christmas and the group’s holiday traditions make this a perfect cozy winter read. 4 Stars | Amazon | Bookshop.org
Mistletoe and Mr. Right by Sarah Morgenthaler
A socialite who’s trying to fit in. A local trying to win over his dream girl. This unlikely pair team up to tackle Moose Springs biggest annoyance – a moose causing havoc all over town. As they wrangle this creature who’s threatening to ruin Christmas, they find they might be better doing more together than just catching wildlife.
This is technically the second book in a series but I’ve heard you can easily pick it up without reading The Tourist Attraction, first. | Amazon | Bookshop.org
The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Jenny Bayliss
I happened to win a copy of this eARC through a publisher giveaway and I’m so glad I did!! I want to tell everyone to go out and read this charming Christmas novel. This is easily one of the best new Christmas books of 2020.
Kate reluctantly agrees to her friend’s suggestion of signing up for “The Twelve Dates of Christmas.” She’ll be matched up with twelve different men, for a different group date each weekend. Soon her whole village is invested in the outcome, including her skeptical friend Matt!

Christmas at the Island Hotel by Jenny Colgan
Jenny Colgan often returns to locations in her previous novels for new Christmas stories. This one takes readers back to the Scottish island of Mure, from The Cafe by the Sea. The new hotel opening brings together Isla and Konstantin, one of the servers and one of the cooks. Isla comes from nothing, but Konstantin, well he’s the son of a Duke.
Jenny shines in her holiday stories, often a quick jaunt back to beloved places with a few new main characters. I’m sure this will be no exception! | Amazon | Bookshop.org
Save For Later!
A Princess For Christmas by Jenny Holiday
Leo’s little sister spots a “princess” in trouble on the streets of NYC, and no one is more surprised than him when he finds out she is literally a Princess. Princess Marie of Eldovia asks Leo to help chauffeur her around the city during her trip.
As they spend time together in the car, these two very different individuals find they rather like each other. But will their backgrounds make a future between them impossible? | Amazon | Bookshop.org
Jingle All The Way by Debbie Macomber
Since Everly’s devoted almost too much time to becoming a real estate executive, her boss forces her to take a month off for Christmas. She’s expecting a beach vacation, but her assistant cruelly books a cruise trip to the Amazon rain forest instead.
Asher Adams, ship captain, attempts to show Everly the beauty of the rainforest, eventually with some success. As their time together becomes more meaningful, they realize at the end of the trip they’ll need to make some serious decisions about their relationship. | Amazon | Bookshop.org
The Twelve Dogs of Christmas by Lizzie Shane
Ally finds herself with a big problem when funding for her family’s animal shelter is cut off. She has to find homes for 12 dogs as soon as possible, all while arguing with the town councilmen to restore their budget.
Ben is trying to appease his dog-loving niece and feeling bad that the town can’t support the shelter anymore, so he agrees to help Ally find families to adopt all the dogs. | Amazon | Bookshop.org
All I Want For Christmas by Wendy Loggia
Here’s an option for all you young adult book lovers! The last book on this list of the best new Christmas books of 2020 is a sweet YA rom com. Bailey adores the holiday season, but this year she just wants to find someone to kiss under the mistletoe.
The question is will it be Jacob, the cocky star athlete that she absolutely has no interest in, or Charlie, the romantic British stranger? | Amazon | Bookshop.org
Will you be reading any of these best new Christmas books of 2020?
Thank you so much for doing this list. I LOVE reading Christmas fiction and can’t wait to put some of these new reads on hold. Can’t wait!
That’s the best compliment! I’m thrilled you found some new ones to read!
Hi Sarah!! Was just reading through this great list as I always enjoy adding Christmas books to my reading list this time of year. I thought I’d share a great fiction book my father wrote! It’s called “An Angel’s Noel” by Ken Zemsky (and can be found on Amazon). I was shocked, proud and delighted to read such an amazing story crafted by my very own father. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did !
