Expiration Dates

by Rebecca Serle

If you’re looking for a short, heartwarming novel, Rebecca Serle is your woman! She has a talent for writing unique love stories that incorporate the lightest dose of magical realism. Expiration Dates features a woman who receives a note at the beginning of each relationship letting her know how long it will last.

Whether it’s destined for 3 weeks or 5 years, Daphne has always been aware the end is coming. Until she gets a name with no expiration date. As she navigates this new scenario with the help of her best friend, Daphne must face the choice between fate and her future.

There is so much packed into this less than 300 page novel. I couldn’t put it down.  | 5 Stars | Preorder From Amazon | Preorder From Target

done and dusted

Done & Dusted

by Lyla Sage

I’ll admit, it took me way too long to read this because I’m not a huge fan of the cover. My mistake! This cowboy romance is absolute perfection!!

Emmy returns to her family’s ranch after a nasty accident, adrift and unsure where she wants her life to go. She’s planning to spend time soaking up the life she left, but didn’t factor in local badboy and her family’s unofficial fifth member, Luke.

Luke is taken aback to find Emmy back home and infiltrating his mind in all sorts of unexpected ways. These two were enemies, but can they find common ground and something they never expected in each other? 5 Stars | Buy From Amazon | Buy From Target

survive

Survive The Night

by Riley Sager

In the exact opposite of the charming love story above, Survive the Night is a thrilling ride that left me guessing at every turn!! Eager to get out of town after her friend is murdered, Charlie accepts a ride that changes her life forever. Josh seems like a normal kid around her age at first, but she starts to notice idiosyncrasies that are lead her to suspect she might just be in the car with the serial killer.

Fighting against her growing suspicion but also unable to trust her own mind, an intense game of cat and mouse plays out on a lonely stretch of highway. I was so caught up in this I read it in 24 hours!! The twists and turns kept me constantly guessing and I ate up every second of it! | 4.5 Stars |Buy On Amazon | Buy From Target

fake mate

The Fake Mate

by Lana Ferguson

I’ll admit, I knew a little bit about this book before going in…and it was still wayyyyy too much for me ha! For those who don’t know, this romance featuring two werewolf shifters is meant to be an introduction to the omegaverse – a type of erotic fiction in which characters are alphas, omegas, or betas. Their interactions are dictated by this classification and the…spicy times take on a unique nature!

While I admit I was intrigued about trying something new, this genre focuses a whole lot on the spice and left a lot to be desired for anything else. It felt like I was reading the same scenes over and over again…and I quickly realized this omegaverse interaction wasn’t for me!

HOWEVER, I adored Lana Ferguson’s previous novel, The Nanny, so you should absolutely go read that instead!  2.5 Stars | Buy On Amazon | Listen to The Nanny on Libro.fm

Improbable Meet Cute Novellas

by Variety of Romance Authors

I couldn’t have been more excited to see this collection of novellas was available free to Amazon Prime members! I love every single author who participated, so I downloaded and read them right away!

Unfortunately, there was a significant range of quality. Christina Lauren and Abby Jimenez’s stories were excellent! They packed so much character development into 100ish pages and made you fall in love with the couples. However, the other authors struggled. The remaining 4 either had plots that were laughably far-fetched, bizarre, or essentially insta-love relationships that went from zero to a hundred in a few pages. | 3 Stars | Free From Amazon
